Problem loading PseudoTV 0.8.0f

I know there haven't been any updates to PseudoTV Live since 0.8.0f, but ever since Krypton was released I've been getting an error during load that says, "Extendedinfo Script Error" and to check the logs for details. It looks like the ExtendedInfo script isn't compatible with PTVL 0.8.0f.

Is there a way I can fix this?

Disable artwork entirely?

Hi there, just wondering if it's possible to disable artwork in the epg entirely? I run on fire tv box, and the artwork is always laggy and takes a while to show the correct artwork. I'd like to disable this entirely. It used to have low power mode that would just show a channel logo instead of the artwork. Any way I can get that?

PseudoLibrary and Playlists

Hi folks.....
Was wanting to know if anybody else has tried this or can give me some feedback.

Basically, I've been able to add some Netflix TV show content into my Kodi Library using a combo of the PlayOn Browser and PseudoLibrary plugin's. The test shows I've added are now part of my regular Kodi library and work brilliantly with no problems.

I was then wanting to take this a step further by creating a smart playlist for these same shows in the normal way that you would create a TV show playlist, which I've done and again everything works with no problem.
However, when I try to select this playlist in PseudoLive TV to create a new channel, PseudoCompanion is not allowing me to complete that action or use this playlist.

So, my question is whether or not PTVL actually allows for new channels to be created in this way?

Unable to use personal media

Hello
I'm very new to Kodi by the way, just to warn you first Wink
So, I've installed PseudoTV succesfully and now I'm stuck. I want to use my personal media library as database for PseudoTV, but I just can'T
I go in this path : hover PseudoTV > Press C > Setting > General > Open Channel Configuration > 1 > Select Directory > Enter Directory
then, I should get a browser, but instead of having it at the root of my computer, I just get 2 folder, one from my external HDD, the other is my DVD drive...
What have I done wrong?
Can somebody help me please?

Can some kind soul post a list of keys for pseudotv live in windows? Why isn't this basic information avaliable anywhere and we are supposed to guess which keys do what, beats me.

Ignore PTVL playcount with Emby plugin

Now this may very well be something that PseudoTV cannot control but it's worth a shot to ask.

I am using PTVL 0.8 with the Emby plugin playing direct and it works fine. The only issue is that whatever I play with the add-on still gets marked in my emby library as played. I know that there are settings to turn this off (and they probably work just fine with the native Kodi library) but using the emby add-on doesn't seem to work. Once I exit PTVL, my main Kodi library gives me the option to resume viewing all the items that I just navigated through the EPG in PTVL.

The reason I think this is happening is because the emby plugin just activates the stream to start playing through Kodi but the playcount is marked through the backend of the emby server. That's the best way I can explain it having not programming experience myself.

I would love to channel surf in PTVL without worrying about affecting any of the playstates in my library.

Do you think there is any remedy to this?

lastPlayed vs playCount

Is there a way to have PTVL not modify the lastPlayed time of a video. I've already turned on "Disable Playcount" under tweaks, but this still modifies the videos lastPlayed in my database which I don't want.

JSon return for Smart Playlist and PseudoTV Live

Hello developers,

I am a huge proponent of PTVL Live and would like to find out what is going on with what I understand is a change in Json that severely affects the use of PTVL. For some time now, it has been impossible to get TV shows to parse the "Play shows in order" advanced rule. From what I understand, it was a change made to the JSON library and the way returns are processed? I was wondering if any of the KODI authors would be able to answer a couple questions?
Why was this change made and is there a way to work around this new Smart Playlist limit? Is there any chance that whatever change was made can be reversed in Krypton?

First off i'd like to thank you for creating this addon it's a really great addition to my kodi setup. However there is something i'd like to know how or if is possible to do. For example, could you create a channel that has 10-15 shows and it pull equal amount of videos from each show.I had a sort of working channel but it would only pull like 3 shows from the list.

Unable to add playlists

First and foremost I'd like to thank Lunatixz for creating this awesome add-on!

I believe I have goofed up here (I'll admit it). I had a few channels linked to some smart playlists. I wanted to redo the playlists, so I deleted them. When I went into PTVL, I saw that my playlist channels were in there, they just didn't have the names associated with them "Horror - Playlist" was now just "- Playlist". This made sense to me since I did just delete them. I went ahead and deleted the channels. Then when I tried to add a new channel from a new playlist I would only get "- Playlist". The path to the playlist that I select doesn't show up at the bottom of the channel config like it used to before adding the channel. I did an autotune as well as a channel reset but that didn't help. I enabled debugging and I did have an error when I tried to create a Smart Playlist channel.

PTVL crashes at the end of a playlist

When a channel reaches the end of its playlist, PTVL crashes back to the Kodi homescreen and I have to restart. Is there a way to prevent this?

PseudoTV only show channels type "Directory" (missing channels)

I'm using PseudoTV 2.10 (not live) in a Openelect 7..
Works fine when I use directory channels... but when use "smart lists" this channels not show in the EPG...
How can I check my file settings2.xml is OK ?? Is there any tool for this?

I have NAS server and all the movies there are in this, and Kodi (16) read the movies from SMB.. works fine with PSTV
But the "smart lists" not work... PSTV ignore these channels....

State of this addon?

I had Pseudo TV Live for a while about a year ago but kept encountering the following problems:

1. Updates would break my painstakingly curated list of channels and I'd have to start over again
2. Addon would frequently lock up, forcing me to close Kodi and restart
3. Channels I created would sometimes not show up until I entered the addon a second time
4. Took FOREVER to update / generate channels (sometimes!)

Is the addon in any better shape with the current version? I like the concept of Pseudo TV channels but in my previous attempts to use this program I found myself spending more time trying to get it to work correctly than actually watching anything. Has it gotten any more reliable?

How to save my Channel list on PTVL?

I use only Directories as channels on PTVL. I wanna know how to save the channel list, because everytime I install a new version of PTVL, the list is empty, and I have to reassign all the channels again. Where is stored the channel config? I didn't find this topíc in other threads or in manuals.

Think im misunderstanding, does playon require a PC?

Hey, I've been looking around at way to get netflix (legally) on my raspberry pi media setup. I saw people talking about playon and it looked promising so i signed up. Now while going through things and trying to get it working, i noticed that everything is telling me to install the playon client (on windows) and then hook up via uPnP. Is this exactly how it should work? or is there a way to go direct from playon to kodi without needing a windows pc?

The whole point of my raspberry pi install is so that i don't constantly have to run my pc. I just wanna be able to leave the pi running, then when im ready head onto netflix have a look around and play something i wanna watch.

I mean if this is how it works, then hey, so be it. Just would be super nice to be able to do it without the pc requirement.

Thanks for the info, and i hope it doesnt seem like im bashing it, im not, just if it works like this it doesnt really fit with what i'm personally trying to accomplish.


ps, i am a netflix subscriber so i dont want any free or dodgy addons. Happy to pay for netflix but just want to use it conveniently Sad.

Can't get BCT to work

I've always had commercials and bumpers setup through interleaving but wanted to try using the BCT function. I deleted my setup2 file so I could start from scratch and setup one network channel to test.....CBS. I set bumpers so C:\Bumpers\ and commercials to C:\Commercials but when I flip through shows no bumpers or commercials play, it just goes to the next show. What am I doing wrong? Below is my file structure.

How to install/enable F4m

I have a YFeel M96X Pro Smart IPTV Box, running Kodi 16 Jarvis, connected to my smart TV. I am English but I live in France. Wanting to obtain live streaming of French TV Channels (many of which are free to air but I live in an area of zero reception coverage) I successfully downloaded an addon called Logan TV Addon which offers many of the channels I would like. However, when I came to try to watch one of the channels, a message popped up saying that Logan requir4ed an additional addon called F4m in order to play. It asked if I wanted to download that and I clicked on yes. Nothing happened and nothing played. I then managed to find a download for F4m online, and successfully diownloaded it, but it would not install and enable.

When I downloaded Logan to my PC and tried to play a channel I received the same message about requiring F4m. When I confirmed that it should download - it did and immediately enabled. All the Logan channels then streamed perfectly on my PC.

However, I would still like them on my TV via the IPTV Kodi box.

CDan anyone please help me?

I thank you in advance.

Also, do I need to update to the most recent ver5sion of Kodi, and if so how can I do it on the iptv box, please.

New Kodi/PseudoTV User

Hi everyone! I am about to jump into the Kodi world and the main reason is because of the things I have read about PseudoTV. I have always wished that there was a way to mimic the traditional TV world with my media collection, and now I have found it. I currently have all of my media (20TB) stored on a Synology DS1815+ NAS and I am thinking of buying a ASUS Chromebox-M004U (Celeron 2955 U, 16 GB SSD and 4 GB Memory) to use as a dedicated Kodi box. Would this be powerful enough to run PseudoTV without limitations and be able to use all features and enjoy the program the way it is supposed to be used? Or am I going down the completely wrong path?

I apologize if this is in the wrong section, but I looked and could not find any discussion that focused on using PseudoTV. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
